December 2020
Saturday 12/26/2020- Headed with a small group to Kalamazoo, Michigan. Some of us noticed a post on the news about a homeless camp and wanted to see how we might be able to share the love of Christ with folks . We traveled light this trip and here are the details of the trip:
Passed out approximately 20 bags with bibles, food, water, and tracks in.
Placed large box with sandwiches at camp food location.
-Miranda - She was waking up from her camp inside a bus stop. It was a very cold morning. We mainly talked with her for a while and gave her some bags. Her attitude was great about making it through the winter. We prayed for her relationship with the Lord to grow and more.
-Yancy - He and his friend came walking up to greet us when we arrived. He was given 3-months to a year to live due to liver damage. We prayed for that and him finding work.
- John - One brother had a specific word of knowledge on the chest pain John had. We talked with him briefly and prayed for his chest.
We only spoke direct to 5 people - it was a quiet morning and it seemed most people at the camp were still in their tents sleeping or simply staying warm. Clearly some folks had make shift homes or what looked like military camps established - one with full blown stove inside burning wood.
Saturday 12/19/2020- Another Saturday get together for 'Kingdom Lights' as we shared the love of Christ and glorified God. Much happened and here is a glimpse of some of it:
96+ cookies served
26 crates of sandwiches
Chips and other snacks
Granola bars
3 gallons of hot cocoa
101 cups of coffee
Handed out a lot of clothing - gloves, hats, boots, jackets, and blankets
There have been other groups downtown serving so we had a lot of left overs this time. We gave the leftovers to another group for them to use when we were done. We did end up praying for a lot of people! In short, we saw folks delivered, fed, healed, built up (as were ourselves) and more. Here are some more specifics:
-Fred - forgiveness and peace - traumatic
-Shawn was in a lot of pain due to surgery. Said he felt relief. He was also emotional over family issues and felt better after prayer.
-Preacher man - we were totally built up and encouraged by what he had to share. He is recently homeless after losing his job. We prayed for employment opportunities and for him to have opportunity to share the love of Christ with others!
-Jamie - she had back pain back which left and we also prayed for others she knew and for housing opportunities to open up.
-Ricky - he has broke his ankles/feet and was immobile. We did not have a lot of time to pray with him but he sensed tingling while we prayed. We encouraged him before leaving.
-Amanda ankle from break years ago. She sensed changes too but was in a rush to leave. I sometimes wonder how often people get weirded out and end up being afraid when God is healing them, so they leave.
-Kelsey - young girl who has been on the streets for a while - had experienced serious trauma as a young lady. She repented for her sins and recommitted her life back to Christ. She has a job interview on Monday ( we prayed for a job) healing, Deliverance.
-Mandy - Lost her job and her home due to a drug addiction and she was selling drugs on the streets. Mandy asked God to forgive her for her sins and repented for her drug addiction and selling drugs on the streets , we prayed for deliverance and healing.
-Duane, he turned to marijuana because he had a lot of anger towards a man who cut his girlfriend with a saw , Duane wanted revenge . He repented for his sins.
Saturday 12/5/2020 - Was another Saturday get together for 'Kingdom Lights' and we showered the community with the love of God! Much happened and here is a glimpse of some of it:
17 crates of sandwiches
2 banana boxes of cookies
Chips and other snacks
4 gallons of hot cocoa
101 cups of coffee
Water
A group of folks were walking in the park handing out blankets for people - one of the women raised $700 to do this. We went over and started talking to them and one member in our group had a word of knowledge on lower back pain which the one woman confirmed she had. We grabbed a lady in our group to lay hands on her back and we prayed and the woman felt warmth in her back and the pain left. Another brother started prophesizing over her and then we had her go sit down on a chair for her leg to grow out - due to the back and hips being out of whack. She was rocker by God! We prayed for the whole group of 5 for other various needs and blessed them all sharing the love of God with them.
One group of ladies went walking in the area and came across Robin who was super encouraged to be noticed and the ladies prayed for housing needs for her. As a general observation, there were a lot of tents in the park - the city is allowing it due to the extreme circumstances in the area with lack of places for people to stay.
More people were touched by God in various ways - food, healing, hope restored, etc. It is just as much a blessing for the workers as it is for the people receiving. Some folks prayed for the first time and saw someone healed, others were shown how they were able to work better with others and connect with people. It was a powerful day with the Most High God. Do realize that if you are a believer, you are a walking tabernacle - you carry the presence of God wherever you go. So whether ministering on the streets or while getting groceries, there is opportunity to share Him wherever you are - even if you are walking changing atmospheres where you go.
Friday 12/4/2020 - Had an appointment and when leaving the Lord strongly put on my heart to pray for a worker. I had to leave and was in a rush, so I called and prayed for them over the phone. Well, the Lord continued to impress on my heart to pray in person over the worker, so I turned my vehicle around and went back to the location and prayed what the Lord put on my heart for them. The person was blown away that God was so concerned for them. I released words of encouragement and blessed them and the situation. I share this because sometimes we don't realize or fully know the impact of obedience and the seeds that are sown in situations like this. Continue looking and listening for opportunities - many are out there!
November 2020
Saturday 11/21/2020 - Was another Saturday get together for 'Kingdom Lights' and we showered the community with the love of God! Much happened and here is a glimpse of some of it:
100+ donuts served
14 crates of sandwiches
Chips and other snacks (not sure how many)
3 gallons of hot cocoa
101 cups of coffee
One mighty man of God jumped on the bench and shared some words of knowledge (1 Corinthians 12:8) and here is who was healed from that:
1. Man with right shoulder and right knee (he stated his knee was hurting and when approached said that also his shoulder, but the right side, was also in pain) - the pain left and mobility restored
2. Person with left shoulder issues and was restored after prayer.
In addition to that:
Man heart issues - said he had also lost sensation in his fingers for years and just got them back after prayer! Believing his heart was also healed/restored through creative miracle.
Woman with bipolar disorder welcomed prayer and then after team member prayed for her she said she was just fine with what she had. There was obvious spiritual interference taking place. Team member explained to her that there is freedom in Christ and chatted with the woman some more.
Saturday 11/7/2020 - A group headed out downtown again to love on the homeless to the glory of God. We had a bit of a heat wave this past week which was great for serving outside. We had more clothing to pass out, some oven warmed bratwurst(60), sandwiches (165), plenty of water, and coffee. We also brought chairs and healing banners to get the attention of people so they knew they could come over and receive prayer. We brought an audio player, too, and were streaming worship music, as well. When all was said and done, many people (the Lord, workers, and especially the people who came out) were greatly touched in many ways. Here are some testimonies of what took place to the glory of God in and through Jesus Christ!
Bernard - He came up with painful and visible welt like marks on his arm that were very painful. He said he woke up one morning and had this. One family member prayed for him a few times and the Lord dissipated all pain.
Alex - He came up appearing to be intoxicated on something and cursing/sharing about violent acts he had been involved with. He was limping with pain in his ankle. We prayed for him a few times and all his pain left. His mind was blown by the goodness of God - we shared the good news of Jesus Christ and God's immense love for him.
Billy - He was chatting with family about an accident he had on his mini bike which he had built and how he was in the hospital for briefly due to it. He had a bad ankle in a brace and crutches were tied to his backpack as a result of this. We spoke to his ankle and all pain left. He was able to stand on it after and there had been fractures previously (we obviously could not see with our physical eyes if the fractures were mended, but Billy was able to move and do things he was not able to previously).
October 2020
Saturday 10/24/2020 - A group headed out downtown again to love on the homeless to the glory of God. With the cooler weather we did things slightly different this time around. Some of the team purchased large coffee urns and used those to brew coffee which was very well received on the cold morning. We had clothing to pass out, some oven warmed hotdogs (~50), donuts (~100), sandwiches (~60), and plenty of water (mineral and regular). We also brought chairs and healing banners to get the attention of people so they knew they could come over and receive prayer. We brought an audio player, too, and were streaming worship music, as well. When all was said and done, many people (the Lord, workers, and especially the people who came out) were greatly touched in many ways. Here are some testimonies of what took place to the glory of Jesus Christ!
Latoya - She came up for food and the team asked if she had anything we could pray for and she mentioned her back was in a lot of pain. She then went on to state how she had a slipped disc in her back. We prayed for her 2 times - the first time she noticed a minor change and the second time she said she could feel the disc move back in to place. Her eyes got really big as I don't think she was expecting any change to take place. We shared with her the glorious good news - she was a believer. We continued to encourage her as she went her own way.
Jeff - Physical pain along with some soreness in his legs. Group member asked to pray for him and only put their hand on his back - didn't say but maybe 2 words and all the pain left. Ended up standing there and having a really good conversation with the gentleman about the Lord.
Misty - Misty and her husband came up after having a very rough night - all their supplies (tend, blankets, shoes, etc.) were stolen. She had on slippers w/o socks and it was 30-some degrees this morning. One of our members noticed her and went to grab her socks and once they got some food and were explaining what happened helped put socks on her feet. We asked if she had anything we could also pray about for them and she visibly could hardly move, and stated her back was in serious pain and she had a lump on her back (we had not seen the lump before we prayed). We prayed one time and she said she noticed a small change and when we prayed again she started crying and asked what we did as all her pain was gone and the lump was gone. One member said his hand felt warm at one point when praying for her as it was laid on her back. After, the team worked to get a list of the supplies they needed and went to retrieve things for the couple. There was so much more that happened with this couple - the Lord was specifically targeting them for His goodness - some other people who were not in our group came up to them with a warm breakfast for them. They were super grateful for what the Lord was doing.
Saturday 10/10/2020 - A group of us went downtown to pass out juice, donuts (we had over 400 donuts donated and had a lot left over), water, bibles, clothing, and to pray for people. This was fun and unique as it was the first time handing donuts out. We had some new faces join us to serve and we shared Jesus in tangible ways with all visitors. Some groups hit the streets with boxes of donuts to hand out and others went out to invite people to where we were gathering. Such a huge blessing serving others to the glory of God through Jesus Christ! Here are some testimonies from the weekend which were shared with me or which I remember:
Jerome - Originally from Africa, he has been in America for many years now. He shared how grateful he was to live in America and stated just how amazingly blessed it is to live in America with freedom and people feed the poor. He said in his home country there were no groups that would help the poor - the poor simply died w/o support. He then started sharing about his relationship with the Lord and how that came about many years ago when the Lord would speak to him in his dreams during a time when he was wrestling an alcohol addiction and was so intoxicated most the time that he was not attentive during the days. He changed his ways and repented and was blessed as a result. We then started talking about how the Lord heals people today and he shared about a paralysis he dealt with for 9 years and the doctors were perplexed on how to care for him and he suffered greatly and had not slept well. He said a man prayed for him one day and that night the pain all left him, praise God! It was quite a delightful conversation we had over the course of 10 minutes.
Morgan - She had back pain and was sharing her life challenges with a friend of mine. Her back was prayed for and all the pain left. My friend then had a great opportunity to share further the gospel and what it means to follow Jesus. I don't know where the woman was at in walking with the Lord, but some seeds were certainly sown in to her life.
Freddy - A couple of us asked Freddy if there was anything we could pray for him about and he said yes stating life and direction mainly, but when we asked if he had pain in his body he shared he did with his pelvic area and hips. As we prayed over him, the Spirit of the Lord was clearly touching him and my friend called out pain to leave his back and he declared how he felt way better. He had to leave rather quickly, so we made it clear that the Lord was showing His love to him and then let him go.
There were a couple other folks I recall where I could clearly sense the Lord doing something and they could as well and only to have them change the topic from what we were on. I know this is spiritual a lot of times and sometimes people get afraid because they see that God is real when in fact they may have not believed that prior. We're out there sowing seeds of the love of God which our hope leads to repentance. Such a blessing to serve others.
Tuesday 10/6/2020 - From friend ' I want to Meijer today. I commented to the cashier about her not having a cushioned mat to stand on and asked if she ever has any problems with her back or knees or anything. She said that her feet were hurting and her pain level was at a 6. I asked her if she wanted the pain to go away. She said yes, what do I need to do. I told her she needed to just relax and that I was going to pray for her and God would take the pain away. I did not ask her if I could pray for her. I just began to command healing and for the pain to go. All of the pain left and then I had a couple of minutes to talk with her a little bit.'
September 2020
Monday 9/29/2020 - Rick - prayed for Rick due to an accident he had been involved with. The Lord revealed, in a picture in my imagination, a person being stabbed and also robbery came to my mind. When I shared this with Rick he asked how I knew about him being stabbed - he said 2 weeks before the accident he was involved in an altercation and was stabbed and bleeding very badly; he had not told anyone about it. He said he was not trying to rob anyone and I said it could be the result of someone stealing from him and then provided other examples of how the Lord speaks to us. I made mention that nothing escapes the eyes of the Lord and Jesus Christ is very much alive and well. I have some ideas on why the Lord shared these things in specific, but don't know fully. Rick experienced the peace of God in prayer and other things also took place. Jesus Christ is very much alive and well - thank you for Rick, Papa!
Sunday 9/27/2020 - At service today it seemed like the woman in front of us was highlighted to me by Holy Spirit. I had the sense of emotional pain and saw a picture of a car accident in my imagination. After service ended I asked her if there was anything that she had been praying to the Lord about and she mentioned the political climate and about abortion and riots. I then asked if she specifically had anything and then shared the picture I saw and she started crying. She shared that she had a nightmare where her son-in-law was in a horrible car accident, but nothing had actually happened. So we prayed for any plans of the enemy to dissolve and I also prayed for the Lord to manifest His peace within her. We had quite an encouraging conversation afterwards - all of us were quite uplifted and encouraged.
Saturday 9/26/2020 - A group of us went downtown to serve BBQ hotdogs and pass out food again (we planned and shared 120 total again), water, bibles, and to pray for people. This was a super fruitful time like last time out. We had some new faces join us to serve and some new ideas for the next get together. We shared Jesus in tangible ways with all visitors - some cases it was a quick sharing of food and people left and in other cases it was a long conversation getting to know people better and really explaining the good news of Jesus Christ. I was especially encouraged by some of the fellowship time and being ministered to by the Lord as we talked about Him. Such a huge blessing serving others to the glory of God through Jesus Christ! Here are some testimonies from the weekend which were shared with me or which I remember:
Chuck - My friend and I were praying for Chuck who had some physical challenges (another friend in the Lord prayed for him before and Chuck felt power move in his chest cavity between the hands of our friend who had one hand on his chest and another on his back), and then my friend shared a prophetic word he had about the Lord giving him ears to hear clearer and it resonated in a big way with Chuck. Chuck shared another testimony which he felt was related to that, as well. Was a really good time!
Jamela - She was very emotional when she came up. She welcomed prayer and I had a word come in relation to her life and she started weeping, but said she was in a situation that she could not get out of. We provided some direction and prayed for her some more. She was on a roller coaster it seemed - will continue to pray for her.
Jen - Walked up with a black eye and looking like she had a rough night. She told us that her boyfriend had assaulted her and was arrested and she was coming in to town to look for food and other resources. We prayed for her situation and blessed and fed her
Fred - A couple of us were praying for Fred's physical vision to improve and I saw a picture of an older boy who I had the sense was his older son and also that there were relationship issues there. I asked about this and he confirmed he had an older son who was going in to recovery and the relationship with him is very strained. I agreed and prayed in regards to what the Lord showed me and what I felt the Lord was speaking in to. It was a very fruitful time of prayer. We did not notice immediate change with his vision.
Jeff - Post event a friend was at the store sharing Jesus with a person at a store working the cash register and some young men in line asked if they could talk to her outside after. After they both engaged in conversation about the Lord and she asked any of them had pain in their body and one did and she asked if she could pray for him and all the pain in his body left. He was weeping and repented for the way he was living. My friend said it was a very powerful time ministering to these guys!
Monday 9/21/2020 - Was walking through the grocery store today and noticed a woman and her husband in the aisle, but the woman was hobbling and visibly in pain. I approached and asked what was going on and she said she had had a hip fracture and was in pain. They welcomed me praying for them - was kind of odd when partially wearing a mask - and I could sense a shift in the atmosphere. We did not notice an immediate change in her physical condition after praying. I shared the love of Jesus Christ with them. They are believers and she was hopeful for healing. We blessed one another and I left.
Saturday 9/12/2020 - A group of us went downtown to BBQ hotdogs and pass out food (we handed out a roughly 120 total), water, bibles, and to pray for people. This was a super fruitful time like last time out - even though we served less people. Here are some testimonies from the weekend which were shared with me:
Couple in group - We passed out about 25 pairs of socks, prayed with about 15 people, invited everyone to the food tables, we left and came back passed out 4 or 5 sleeping bags, blankets, jeans, sweatshirts, jackets, hats, gloves, even 3 pair of shoes.
Jimmy - prayed for deliverance for Jimmy. I noticed from a distance, so don't know the details of what took place, but he was vomiting at one point. We prayed for many other people at the gathering - were less people that came to eat, but the time was fruitful for everyone.
August 2020
Saturday 8/31/2020 A group of us went downtown to BBQ hotdogs and pass out food (we handed out 200 total), water, bibles, and to pray for people. This was a super fruitful time like last time out - and went better than before. Here are some testimonies from the weekend - mainly including those I recall or were involved with:
Man 'Jerome" - Jerome was a brother in the Lord who recently discovered greater depths in his relationship with the Lord. He was in Chicago initially with a ticket to New York and he missed his flight. Sitting on the road dejected he prayed for the Lord to help him. A friend in the group drove by as she was heading to Chicago for an event and felt like the Lord highlighted this man. She pulled up and asked if he wanted to come with her - he did. At the event he was water baptized and baptized in the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. He drove back up to where we reside and temporarily decided to live abroad. He laid hands on some sick people and healed the sick - super encouraged and obviously built up from the experience. A smaller group of folks are helping him along and this young man is growing. What an incredible time - Jerome was glowing when I met him!
Man "James" - Recently out of jail. Was struggling to find useful things to do so we provided guidance. My close friend had the Lord show him that this man was very gifted in writing music and went on to prophesy about this. It resonated with the man and he actually had already written a bunch of music and wanted to get back in the studio. We prayed for him on this and provided some guidance on getting connected with others.
Woman "Bridgett" - We went and invited her to come to the BBQ. She had found herself out on the streets due to a domestic violence situation. We spoke words of encouragement to her and blessed her - she was weeping when we left; I am sure things have changed for her.
Man "Brian" - Wanted us to pray for comfort after the recent death of his grandfather. We blessed him and prayed for him - he felt lighter after we did. Was super encouraging for him and us to chat and for him to share his gratitude towards God for us praying with him.
Man "Billy" - He and I spent a good amount of time talking and praying about various things in his life - shared the various ways that God speaks to us and we spent more time talking about his own life (recently out of prison and following the Lord). Was a very good time connecting and sharing the love of God with him.
Man "Al" - Had serious anger issues in relation to some people that jumped him. We spent time discussing with him about that and forgiveness and did some prayers for deliverance. His countenance changed and he felt the burden lift. Some other friends spent more time talking to him about Jesus.
Man "Jeff" - He was ministered to multiple times by multiple people. Provided direction and prayerfully encouraged him on his desires to get in the military. Another team member prayed for some shoulder issues he had. He was super encouraged, as were we.
Saturday 8/15/2020 A group of us went downtown to pass out food (75 breakfast sandwiches), water (around 50-75 total), bibles, and to pray for people. We had a large turn out of helpers and the people were edified in many ways during this time. Here are some testimonies from the weekend -there were a lot more not included here:
Man 'Alex' - a small group prayed for him to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and he started to speak in tongues after he did. He also wanted to be water baptized and a group took him to the beach to to have this done. More took place (example: he laid hands on someone else and they were healed) - this was a power time for all involved
Woman 'Bridgett' - She came up for water and when asked if we could pray for her for anything she requested housing and pain due to a broken tailbone from over a decade ago that she was heading to the store to buy pain meds for. After we prayed she was crying and said all the pain left. It was the first time she had full relief. We taught her how to fight the pain if it came back. We were really blessed as a group with her.
Man 'Jimmie' - Jimmie had multiple physical ailments and was not clear on the gospel message - he came up for food and water. Multiple groups of people ministered to him - I am only going to include the things I was involved with personally. I had prayed for his feet which were in pain and for housing and work. His feet immediately felt cold and the pain left. I explained that Jesus took his pain away. After, another group talked to him more about the gospel and prayed for his back which I heard him also declare the pain leave. I don't know the full details of the rest that took place - was a special time for everyone.
Wednesday 8/12/2020 Wrote a letter of encouragement to a co-worker of mine. The letter was simple and focused on building my peer up on who she is in Christ and the supremacy of Christ in all circumstances.
Friday 8/7/2020 A couple days ago the Lord prompted me to write a co-worker I used to manage with a letter to build her up and edify her. There have clearly been struggles with work changes going on so I wrote a letter mainly focusing on her identity in Christ and who He is for her. This kind of thing can be done for family, friends, neighbors, and others - I honestly do not do this all that often at all...maybe that will change
Saturday 8/1/2020 Group of us went downtown to hand out waters and pray for people in the morning. This was such a great time - so many people (including our group) were greatly blessed! One man in particular stood out for me - J Carter. I don't even know all that was poured out and into this man today - it was quite remarkable as we encouraged and blessed him. He blessed us tremendously by sharing testimonies of how the Lord has been leading him throughout recent times to different people on the streets - it was a real encouragement. I honestly cannot think of anytime I have went downtown to reach the lost and pray for folks where it has not been a great blessing to my own heart.
July 2020
Wednesday 7/22/2020 - Went to grocery store with my lovely wife and when she went to use the restroom I struck up a conversation with the worker at the front door. She was clearly stressed by the COVID-19 issues and discussed challenges of enforcing people wearing masks. While I did not necessarily agree with her take on things instead of engaging direct on that I asked her if I could bless her and pray for her. She accepted and told me after that she had she will occasionally pray. I told her for thoes who believe the Spirit of Christ is in her and He will never leave nor forsake her - so He's never away. Turned in to a great connection!
Sunday 7/19/2020 - I was heading downtown to pick up some food and decided to pack some bags of water and fruit to hand out. I met Joe and Ray in my travels. Joe was at the exit with a sign looking for money. I spoke to him briefly and he had a hernia - I prayed for him really quick and blessed him and then the light turned green so I had to go. After I picked up food I asked the Lord where He wanted me to go. He directed me to go down a few different streets and then when I looked around Ray was stood out and the Lord told me to go to him. I stopped and walked up and we began to talk and I explained to him why I was there. He definitely had some very recent struggles that landed him downtown and also stated he was battling arthritis. We prayed and he sensed a change and was experiencing tingling on his body. I prayed some more and he continued to notice a change. I had to leave and hopefully will not see him next time I am downtown. He stated he believed in Jesus Christ - sometimes a longer conversation with people would be better than the quick connections like this was.
Saturday 7/11/2020 - Multiple People - Saturday Night: Went downtown again. Engaged with a lot of people - some familiar faces from earlier in the morning. While this was a very special night and we prayed for many people for various reasons, there was a young lady who had just got out of jail and was re-lapsing back in to addiction - crack cocaine. While we prayed for the addiction, I felt overwhelming love for her which was impressed upon my heart. I spoke what the Lord put on muy heart and she started weeping - was a real powerful time. My friend was praying for man who was also recently out of jail, but this guy was so happy and grateful for life. My friend started speaking powerful words of destiny over this man and I was also getting a confirmation myself. Was a great time of pouring out over folks - such a blessing being a co-laborer doing Papa's business!
Saturday 7/11/2020 - Multiple People - Saturday Morning: A couple of us went downtown again to pass out water and pray for folks. There were a lot less people downtown so we were able to talk to a lot of folks and blessed people with water and praying for a handful. Most seemed to desire for us to pray for the country and we did agree for protection for those present especially. Was great to re-connect with people and see familiar faces.
Saturday 7/11/2020 - Multiple People - LS went out in Holland with a group and had a couple of testimonies. The Lord highlighted a family and when they walked up they noticed the family dog appeared to have eye issues. They family confirmed they were taking the dog to the vet as it had an eye infection. They asked if they could pray for the dog. They started playing with the dog and praising the Lord and before they could pray the infection was cleared up! This was the first time one friend had ever seen an animal or person healed! Also a young man had pain in his knees and LS prayed for him and the pain left and he felt heat down his legs to his feet! Praise Jesus - God is undoubtedly good!
Saturday 7/4/2020 - Multiple People - A couple of us went downtown to hand out water and fruit to the poor people in the park - before the blistering sun and heat came down. We had a great opportunity to talk and pray with many people. 2 different people had back issues - the first person said he noticed a difference as we asked him to stand and check things out after we prayed. The second person had walked up to a group we were talking and praying with and she had a neck brace on. All the pain left her back - she said her discs were moved out of place. She smiled and confirmed 'God is real!' as she moved her neck and the pain left. We asked the group if there was anything else we could agree in prayer with and then left. Great day! Thank you, Lord!
June 2020
Week of Jun 22, 2020 General Notes - I share some of the minor encounters as an encouragement to look for the little opportunities as you're out and about. It really is as simple as going in a store and as you do asking the Lord if there is anything you can do to display or show his love for the person. It could be as simple as smiling at someone when it looks like they are having a bad day. Shine on!
Sunday 6/28/2020 - MA - Will keep this short. Glory to Yeshua! I sold an item online and the person I met up with happened to be a person from many miles away who I wrestled in high school - I did not know this initially. As I was heading to meet the couple, I asked the Lord if there was anything I could pray for and I heard lower back and got the sense it was for the man - all my communications were with his wife previously. When we met for the sale the time went very fast, but they were clearly in a rush to leave - money was exchanged and item grabbed. I texted them after to share (I was hesitant to since they had left) and the wife confirmed that her husband had back issues. I prayed for him but then she shared with me other challenges with the family and their children, so I had an opportunity to pray for them, as well. I did ask for them to check to see if there was a difference after praying and I did not get a clear answer on that yet. The larger blessing was having the opportunity to pray for the whole family and to share the love of God with them
Saturday 6/27/2020 - MA - Went to drop clothing off at a shelter and asked the worker if I could pray for them for anything. I was able to bless the worker and was grateful for opportunity to pray for the worker.
Monday 6/23/2020 - MA - I went to obtain service on our vehicle this morning and the location I went to will assign an auto technician as your service contact while you wait. While I waited, I asked the Lord for a word for the man, and I heard 'relationship problems' but I did not dialogue with the Lord on it any more (this can be a good point to ask more questions - ex. relationship problems with who, Lord; what is going on; how do you want me to approach the person on this, etc.?). When the service was complete I was honestly in a rush to leave. So the gentleman rung me up and it just so happens the guy walked me out and he started to strike up a conversation with me. At which point I asked him if I could pray for him and he asked why. I then explained I was practicing listening/growing with God and I heard 'relationship problems' and he confirmed he was going through some relationship issues. I then prayed for that specific area for him. I also shared the fact that Jesus loves him, shared my own testimony, and we chatted a bit more about his journey. It turned out to be a really good time. I tell you, 99% of the time when stepping out it is very rewarding - sometimes it can be challenging, but it is always worth it.
